I believe that if your child is designated as a "special needs" child, you may be able to get "door-to-door" transportation. Does your son have an IEP? You should check with the school to confirm the bus transportation issue.

Bus transportation is also determined by family income. I don't know what the amount is, but bus transportation is usually provided to those students of low income families. Again, you'll want to check with the school about it.

I'm sorry, but I'm a little confused. If the teachers think that your son will be 3 months behind again, who is making your child change schools? If your child is in special education he should have an IEP, and it should be written to have the school district provide transportation if they are making him go to a different building. You might want to contact www.taalliance.org to see if there is any advocate who can help you deal with the school.
