Not sure if you are in or near Valley Center CA but our schools have a great dual immersion bilingual program which starts in Kindergarten and goes through 5 or 6th grade. Starts out 90-10, then 80-20 etc. by 4th grade they are learning, reading, writing and testing in their academics in their (50/50) secondary langauge. I have two kids learning spanish there. Love it.

Hi cupbearer22,

I went ahead and Googled Carlsbad immersion and found a Montessori in Carlsbad that has Chinese immersion and Longfellow in San Diego Unified with a Spanish immersion. Their website is www.longfellowschool.org/

They're actually having a "Coffee with the Principal" on 12/26/08, so you might be able to go and talk to someone then.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

Hi. I'm not from CA, but have you tried using the "Research and Compare" Feature on the green menu bar near the top of this page? You can enter your location and the grade level, and see a list of all schools in the area...if you click on the individual school names, you can get more details, see parent comments about it if there are any, etc.
