hopefulone, since Greatschools is a nationwide forum, we come from many different states, and the terminology isn't the same in all of them. What exactly is SETS? Does your daughter have an IEP (Individualized Education Plan)? When was she diagnosed, and by whom? (The school, or a private evaluator? Exactly which tests did they give her? How long has she been in SETS?)
When you say that your daughter is very active at home, but distracted at school, I'm wondering if she's ever been evaluated for attention deficits, in addition to the reading LD? My son has both, but until the attentional issues were addressed, he wasn't able to gain as much from the tutoring he was getting for reading. (The best instructors in the world, using the best methods, still won't get as good results if a child isn't focused on what they're trying to teach.) One-on-one homeschooling could help, but it may still not be the complete answer.

I won't tell you what to do but I will say that a lot of people homeschool their LD children. Sometimes the one on one is what really works for them. Before deciding I would research homeschooling and the laws in your state. Then you can decide if this is something you want to do.

With homeschooling you don't have to do it as many hours as a traditional school and you can take your time through things so you know your daughter understands.

Please join the homeschool group here at Great Schools. You don't have to be a homeschooling mom to join. You can join if you just want to ask questions about it or interested in it. That way more people could answer you. I would also suggest joining the Learning and Attention Difficulties group here and they can also give you some help in what you should do or just give you more options. The homeschooling group you can find here community.greatschools.net/groups/11543 and the Learning and Attention Difficulties group you can find here community.greatschools.net/groups/11554 . I hope this helps :).
