Sunset El.v.Pinecrest El. v. Coral Gables El.-Miami?
My son is leaving a small private Pre-K school next year for elementary. In addition to the local buzz, we have read the reviews on this site for the schools above. I know they ALL have a good rep regarding academics, but I am more concerned about a nurturing environment, safety and after school programs. I read some comments about poor leadership and changes at Sunset, Gen pop vs. Magnet kids, lack of security at Coral Gables, and Pinecrest's ego being better than the actual programs. Have any of these siuations improved since the comments were written? Actualy, I am more intersted in hearing from those with "negative" comments. I have visited all of these schools and I will be honest, coming from out of the state, I wasn't really impressed with any of them.
