My daughter does great work at home, so why is she failing 2 classes?

I consider my 8 yr old daughter to be very bright. She is fluent in two languages, helps her 6 yr old brother with his homework every night, and can breeze through a 5th grade level book in two days. Yet her teacher insists she is not trying her best in class. What is going on here? How can I help my daughter?

It might be that your daughter is bored pout of her gourd. Can you meet with the teacher to discuss how to make the class work more challenging?
