Hi. I'm not from CA, but I also have a son with ADHD and executive functioning difficulties. Does your son have an IEP or 504 accommodation plan? Are you looking for private schools, or public?

Unfortunately, I've found that it's less a case of a "school" being good, than a case of individual teachers having the biggest influence on my son having a good year...I realize in 7th grade the students have multiple teachers, and truthfully, with the onset of adolescence, I think many kids (even those without "diagnosed issues") struggle to keep their focus in middle school.

I realize you haven't moved yet, but my advice would be to contact a parents support group in your new town (see if there's a CHADD Chapter nearby) and network through those parents to find out which local schools and resources they'd recommend in the area.
