We will be moving there in Jan. and my son is in the 9th grade and was just wondering if he would lose credits or have to change some of his classes.

While I don't live in MS, usually most high school Freshmen take pretty "standard" classes, with English, Math, Natural Science (like Biology) and Social Science (like a History class) and P.E. and perhaps an elective of some sort like art or music. Maybe the new school won't have a band, so he might have to change that class, but there shouldn't be any major impact to the number of credits he's got.
Most states do list their minimum graduation requirements on a State Board of Education website...you might do a "google search" for that, for additional information.
