While I don't live in MS, usually most high school Freshmen take pretty "standard" classes, with English, Math, Natural Science (like Biology) and Social Science (like a History class) and P.E. and perhaps an elective of some sort like art or music. Maybe the new school won't have a band, so he might have to change that class, but there shouldn't be any major impact to the number of credits he's got.
Most states do list their minimum graduation requirements on a State Board of Education website...you might do a "google search" for that, for additional information.
