I'm not in San Pablo, but this is an increasingly common issue in California. If you are concerned about a potential school closure, you can talk to your school, your district, or your school board member. Organize parents, and speak out. Show the school district that you don't want your school to close.
If it's an economic issue, sadly, *some* school might be forced to close. Perhaps parents will agree to a parcel tax. Or find other more acceptable cuts. If it's a lack of enrollment, you'll have to help convince parents to send their kids there. Both have happened in schools in my area to keep schools open.
There are ways to save your school, but you'll have to get other parents involved and fully understand the issue behind it.
