any suggestion on which is the most recommended montessori school in long grove, il

Anonymous
I am looking for a really good montessori school for my 17 month old daughter. She has been at home with Nanny all her life...so I am looking for a school where she will be able to enjoy herself and learn and not miss home.

Before making any final decision, I'd definitely visit whatever schools you're considering. You might find that a "home care" setting is another option....when my son was a toddler, I found a local mom who wanted to stay home with her own preschoolers, while earning some money, so she provided daycare for three other children as well. She did crafts/reading/games, etc. with my son, the same as with her own kids.

Thanks for the reply. I see 2 Montessori Schools in Long Grove....The Montessori School of Long Grove at 1115 Robert Parker Coffin Rd, Long Grove, IL 60047 and another Grove Montessori School at 1660 Checker Rd, Long Grove, IL 60047 which is a branch of Lincolnshire Montessori School. I have asked for their informatin packet and am waiting to see if they have any program tailored for students of my daughter's age. I really want her to go out into a more enriched environment, rather than stay 24 ours at home with Nanny/Grandparents.

Hi. I happen to also live in a NW Suburban Chicago suburb. When my son was younger, we considered Montessori schools, including one in Palatine and one in Hoffman Estates, but found that many didn't begin programs until age 3. Perhaps they've expanded.
I didn't realize there were multiple Montessori schools in Long Grove. According to my 2008 Yellow Book, there's only one listed, so if you're set on Montessori, you may not have much of choice.
