I'm thankful for the loving care and attention my daughter receives at her daycare. I'm also thankful for the wonderful community of families that send their children there.

I'm proud of my son's maturation, and his acceptance of being a leader inside and outside of the house. These qualities have rolled over to his good academic achievments in school and has made him a better person as his maturation continues.
My 7 yr old son, attends Avalon Elementary, here in Orlando, Florida. I am so very thankful that his school participates in "web-room" (any given time you can log on and see what's going on in your child's classroom, the assignments (yes even homework), who was in time out, who was the class leader or teacher's helper! It's great to be able to see what's right there on the blackboard! I love it!! I hope Prior Lake has something similar:-)
I'm thankful for a principal that truly listens to parents, teachers, and the community and makes decisions that benefit all.
I'm thankful for a parent organization that reaches for the stars and overshoots that trajectory every time.
I'm thankful for three years of great teachers. Teachers that care about the kids and treat them as individuals.
I'm thankful for the teacher willing to give up his own time to teach the orchestra so that my daughter can play an instrument.
I'm thankful for the great office staff that actually look up and acknowledge parents when they come to the counter. I'm thankful for the librarian, the art teacher, the PE teacher, and the computer teacher who all contribute to her well-rounded education. And I'm thankful for the facilities manager and her staff that keep the place clean and always know where something is stored--no matter how obscure.
I'm thankful for the opportunity to volunteer in the classroom every week. I get to see what my daughter is talking about, see what goes on, and know she's in great hands.
I'm thankful for other parents who know what a gem we're at and have similar values of family and education first, even if it means skimping on the extras.
I'm thankful for the children at the school who all seem to want to be there, enjoy being there, and thrive there.
I'm truly thankful for my daughter's school, because I can't imagine a better place for her to grow up. I've seen her grow from a shy, quiet child into a secure, inquisitive kid comfortable in her own skin and in her surroundings. I feel like we're the luckiest family in the world.
The preschool / childcare my children attended had wonderful classroom layouts. They had stations or centers, I think she called them. Each center in the room had a different skill to cover - writing, art, building, reading, etc. All of this in a home setting with small classes and a huge yard. There were only 16 kids at a time in the school - 10 kids in my children's class, and 6 in the little kids class. My children were sensory challenged because I never thought to let them play with gooey stuff at an early age, and the teacher did so well with them. They helped educate me and always communicated any concerns or ideas respectfully. I miss the great communication in fact, since public kindergarten provides little or no communication and the classroom is less than spectacular. I wish that our old preschool had private kindergarten!!
The teaching skill of my daughter's teacher. She is young, well read, educated, traveled, and comfortable with her self/job.
The teacher offers to help my daughter by challenging her and asking us DIRECTLY for any suggestion on how she can be challenged more. She responses to messages within hours and follow up with necessary feedback, comment or suggestion and always give a "sincere" response with an excellent teaching skill.
We are very grateful because she is making our teaching job with our daughter, a part-time.
