Looking for a real good 2nd greade ESE teacher?

fi0f5h
My son is in 2nd grade at Cutler Ridge Elementary. I am frustrated with the ESE program there. I am thinking of changing him to another public school in the area. Does anyone know of any school in the area that has strong ESE program including a good ESE program director and 2nd grade teacher?

hello, actually, there is a school not too far from Cutler Ridge elemantry called our lady of the holy rosary. There they have a ese program and they accept McKay scholarships all that you need is an i.e. p from the public school and a recommendation for an alternative settign to the current one our child is at. Follow up with the school to check for availablility and also, check with the other local schools that are private. Many of them offer small classroom settings with scholarships..

Hi. Unfortunately, Greatschools is a nationwide forum, and we don't know where Cutler Ridge is located. Even if we did, the chance of finding another person who is from your town, with a child the same age, with similar special needs, is slim. Most public school districts don't let kids attend whatever school they want, although if you can prove that the current school is not meeting your son's needs, you do have more leverage. I'd like to suggest that you join Greatschools Learning and Attention Difficulties Group at community.greatschools.net/groups/11554, for more support from other parents who know what it's like to be frustrated with schools.
