Moving to Alaska - need advice on schools!

nurselisa
I will be relocating to Wasilla with my 2 children next summer and am researching elementary schools. The kids will be in 1st and 3rd grades next fall. They currently attend a private/Catholic school, but I am open to any school that will provide an outstanding education. I'd love to find a highly rated school that teaches Saxon math and phonics and Shurley English, as this is what the kids are used to. Any tips or advice?? Thank you!

Hi nurselisa, and welcome to GreatSchools. You can use the Research and Compare tool to find the information you're seeking. Click here for the list of elementary schools in Wasilla: www.greatschools.net/search/search.page?c=school&lc=e&q=Wasilla&search_type=0&state=AK

One thing you will like about that area is low teacher/child ratio. We moved from the city and were amazed!
I haven't heard any bad reports.
