If you to:
www.greatschools.net/texas/houston/middle-schools/
You will be able to compare the schools of Houston and choose from there, I personally always go by the ratings from 7-10 rated and their test scores to see how the kids are performing in that school.

I know a few parents who send their kids to Harmony School of Excellence (Gessner) and it seems to have a better rep than Harmony Science Academy (249), but I've never personally investigated either. My son just started HS at The Banff School (on Cutten, just north of Willowbrook mall). It's a very small school, but it's excellent. I'd suggest you check it out.

I'm not sure about the other schools but say "No" to Harmony. I've heard undesirable things.

I haven't heard about the other schools but I have heard a lot of positive things about Harmony Schools. One person I know has a daughter that attended there for middle school and just completed that program. It was rigorous but her daughter is now accepted into the Vanguard program at Debakey's Magnet High School for Medical Professions. She credits Harmony for helping prepare her daughter

In www.greatschools.net/city/Houston/TX , you can check the ratings of the schools, the best ones are the ones rated from 7/10, 8/10, 9/10 and 10/10, their curriculum will be challenging.

Whoops, sorry! I thought the original poster was saying the schools were in CyFair.

Actually, Doerre, Schindewolf Intermediate, and Klein High school are in the Klein District:

kleinisd.net/

Creekwood is in the Humble District:

www.humbleisd.net/education/school/school.php?sectionid=6

Harmony Science Academy is a charter school open to students within the entire Houston area:

hsahouston.org/?rightframe=AboutUS/Overview.htm

Briarmeadow is in the Houston Independent School District

www.schooldigger.com/go/TX/schools/2364008611/school.aspx

None of these are in the Cypress/Fairbanks District. Are you moving to CyFair? Here is a list of the schools in Cypress/Fairbanks or CyFair, as we call it here:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cypress-Fairbanks_Independent_School_District

The school districts here can be really confusing because they back up to one another. I taught in a school in HISD, where the schools across the street were in another district, the schools five minutes north were in another district, and the schools five minutes west were in another district. No kidding!

The schools I mentioned are in the Cypress Fairbanks.

I was living in Houston, TX before, and my kids were going to Farney elementary and my oldest daughter was going to Cywoods high, these schools are the greatest!!! their curriculum is challenging and are rated the highest, I didn't really want to move but the circunstances made me, my husband works here in California and we were there so it was hard on the kids to see him back and forth, so we decided to move but I would love to move back there to the same schools.

Doerre and Klein are both good schools. I don't know about the other ones you mentioned, but I know people in the Klein District, so I will try to find out and let you know tomorrow. Does your child have any special needs?
