Look into all your options now! ;-) If you're in Westerville area, definitely look at your "assigned" school, look into the magnet school options (grades 1-5, however), look into Columbus Academy ($$,$$$, ouch, but they do have scholarships), Clintonville Academy, Central College Christian Academy, Genoa Christian, St. Paul School. Visit the schools - talk to the principal, the kindergarten teachers, visit a classroom. If you think you like one, take your son for a second visit to that school. Use GreatSchools to investigate parent comments, ratings, etc., and look on the web for information as well-- Westerville City Schools lists all its schools on its website and has "state report card" information for them as well. Good luck!

There are many options in Columbus, Ohio. I have a son who attends the charter Imagine Schools and has done remarkably well.
There are also schools like VCS that is an on-line school in which you are the teacher of sorts although they do provide teachers for each class. You do have to ensure your child does do the work but if you are thinking of home schooling this is a great option as they do provide a computer and a curriculum with teachers to help you help your child.
There are also various school districts, Westerville, Whitehall, Columbus Public, Southwestern and others.
To really help you, you will have to be more specific about your child and the grade he or she is in.
Happy Hunting.

Hi. I see that you live in Columbus, OH, but what age is your son? Are you talking preschool, or kindergarten? In most cases, where you live determines which K-12 public school your child would attend. Have you tried using the Research and Compare feature on the green menu bar near the top of this page?
