Hi, my son also has Dyslexia. He started attending KORE Academy 2 years ago. It has been absolutely amazing the improvement he has made! The website is www.koreacademy.com. They are in Porter Memorial Baptist Church (Nichlasville Road) and they are a school for children with Dyslexia, Learning Disabilities, processing disorders, and ADD/ADHD. Wonder staff. Max. 8 students per teacher. Carol Douglass is the principal, you can contact the school at 859-971-7129 or email to koreacademy@gmail.com. I hope you consider contacting them, it will make a difference in your son's life.

Hi and welcome. Greatschools is a nationwide website, and unfortunately there is more than one town called Lexington in different states in the U.S. Even if you told us, chances are slim that another member with a child the same age with the same diagnoses would see your question and be in a position to reply. Does your child have an IEP?

My own son has dyslexia, dysgraphia, and ADHD and I've found that individual teachers have the greatest impact on how a child does. I don't know if there's an IDA (International Dyslexia Association) Parent support group in the area you're moving to, but they may be in the best position to tell you about local schools. For general on-line support, I'd like to invite you to join us in the Learning and Attention Difficulties Group at community.greatschools.net/groups/11554
