Imsabm is correct need more info.
but generally the only governing is state guidelines as far as curriculum and even that can be interruption of what qualifies as satisfying the State guide lines.
Example: marine science may satisfy a State requirement but a school district may inter pate it as not

Depends on the school type--dependent, independent, in-between--as well as location. Different states have different laws regarding charter schools.
