As everyone has sad there is not enough information. When i sign kids up for tutoring i normally do a diagnostic test first to see where the student is and to find out thier learning style

Please share more information about your child. For example, age, grade in school, grades on report card, child's perception of school work , teacher comments - and your feelings.

One really needs more information to provide a more accurate answer. Tutors are there to help students who have difficulties in certain subjects. They can teach your child things in a different manner than the teacher, help explain things a little more/clearer, or even just dedicate the time to help the child 'catch on'.

If your child is doing well in a majority of subjects, but needs help in one or two, then perhaps s/he does need a tutor. If your child is having difficulties understanding certain aspects of some classes (say, s/he's good in math, but is having problems with fractions), then a tutor can be of good help.

You did not provide enough information about your child to provide you with appropriate feedback. What are some of the issues that you child is facing that would lead you to ask this question?
