should I move my daughter from our home school because is has become tier 1 because of low test scores?

shan-mom
My daughter is in first grade and is very happy at her school. But the principle of six years is still running off teachers. The schools test scores are not good. But I am very involved and I have liked all of her teachers. She is very smart and has been accepted into their in house math, science, and technology program for advanced students and I know she is being challenged. She does not adjust well to change and the move would be hard for her plus she has friends there and is comfortable there. I have not had any problems but can't help but listen to the things I hear and read about the school. I cant help but feel like I should be putting her in a better rated school. My heart tells me to leave her, but my mind tells me to move her. HELP!

Remember a school's performance is based on a average number of scores in comparison to average numbers for the state. It sounds like your daughter is an excellent student and will do well wherever she is. If you feel she is being adequately challenged, and have no real concerns - other than ratings - enjoy the fact that your child is having a wonderful educational experience!

what you read--you can-not always, believe,---watch--and listen to your child.....THAT, will tell you --what you need to believe....
