I am happy to hear from you - and even happier that you and your mom have been able to temper your differences enough that you are able to live together.
You are growing up, and one day you will live home because it will be "your time" to live on your own. Leaving home - even for a happy reason - is difficult. It is always better if you can do it with the love and support of your family.
I wish you and your mom all the best. Keep up all the good work you are doing at home and at school.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Keep in touch.

That is wonderful. It sounds like your school is a good support system for you. I am glad you can stay there.

will do, thanks for the advice and support... my highschool counselor says that if i have to move out of the district they can help me with money for transportation, so that i may not have to transfer

Make sure you have support systems in place during this very difficult time. I am so glad that you have been able to talk to adults and counselors.
Please keep in touch!
Good Luck!

I am so sorry you are in such a situation but I am so proud of you for continuing with your education! Please do not drop out of school!!
As far as a transfer, you need to legally establish residency in the new school area to change districts. Is there an adult who can assist you with this? You will need to register at the new school and sign to have your records transfered over.
The Best of Luck to You!!

dmh,

My heart goes out to you. But my first suggestion would be to contact someone at your current school, since your records will have to be forwarded to the new school. They can also help you find out which school you'll be attending based on your new address.

It's tough being in "charge" at 18, but we applaud you for making the decision to stay in school. Hang in there!
