Which is the best elementary in VA Beach, VA?
We are moving here soon and one of the neighborhoods I was looking into was assigned to Thoroughgood. They have an excellent rating, but I was disappointed to see that they teach to the SOLs. I do not want my daughter going to a school that teaches just to the state tests. Learning what is on a test is not learning. Any principal that encourages or forces the teachers to teach this way should be dismissed from their position. So are their any schools in this area that do not do this?
