My son is doing terrible in school

ALMGILBERT
I am lost of how to help him. He has an IEP. He gets accomadations. At home I have workbooks, games, leapster, vtech and computer games. He does reading and worksheets at home all year round. Is there any hope at all??? I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions??

Can you home school him? Get any of the books by Micheal Gurian.

Learning disabilities - learning differences- cannot be addressed solely with the use of accommodations and supplementary aids.
Yes, there is hope for all learners. You must first identify what type of learner you child is. You must also identify an environment which is conducive to your child's learning needs.
What are you interventions at home?
The IEP can be a laborious process - However the I in IEP stands for individualized! You have to make sure your child's individual needs are being addressed.
