Did you know on Wednesday the 24th the students had less than fifteen minutes to eat lunch?

Anonymous
Students had fifteen minutes or less to eat lunch on Wednesday the 24th. A new lunch plan that basically only gives our children fifteen minutes to eat was put in place without anyone really knowing what was happening, where was our principal Mrs. D. since this was her new plan? Children buying lunch and those that bag their lunch stood in a very long line. Many students had just sat down to eat and were told their time was up. When students voiced that they did not have a chance to eat, some of the staff were not concerned and told our children too bad, your time is up. On Thursday morning some parents made it their priority to find out what really happened and we were basically told by Mrs. D. that she was not made aware of any problems until Wednesday afternoon. She also said that the school district decides on changes. NOT TRUE!! We contacted the school district and were told that the PRINCIPAL can make any changes she sees fit with issues such as this. Ask your child.

I would think that is against the law. I believe that at work after 5 hours you are supposed to have a 30 min lunch. How is a child supposed to focus and learn without eating good. They always stress in schools the importance of eating breakfast and don't allow them enough time to eat lunch. Well I guess we had better give them a good breakfast if thats all their going to get all day. What is this world coming to.

15 minutes for students' lunches is obscene. Make the teachers eat in 15 minutes! Is this what school in America has come to? Is this a school or jail? Is this lunch or lockdown? Thank goodness my son does not attend a school with such pitiful leadership and downright awful people.
