Has anyone used one of the neurofeedback training systems to improve attention deficit disorder?

Mandolyn
My ADHD son was just evaluated and diagnosed with reading disabilities. The psychologist suggested using something called Smart Brain Games. www.smartbraingames.com/ It is a neurofeedback training system used to improve attention deficit disorder. Has anyone use this system or any others like it?

I'm not familiar with the particular program you mention, but I've heard of PlayAttention and others. I've got a teen with ADHD and reading disabilities, and all the investigation I've done seems to show a lack of INDEPENDENT research and lasting effects. There are studies that have been done, and results show improvements in certain areas while doing some of the programs, but often they're sponsored by people affiliated with the systems (in other words, they have a vested interest in selling the programs) and they won't address other LDs. I'd like to invite you to join Greatschools Learning and Attention Difficulties Group at community.greatschools.net/groups/11554 and repost your question there, for more input. Another good site is www.millermom.proboards107.com
