Challenge School in Denver, CO.

I really want my son to go there but I have heard that its very difficult to get in, he will be starting KG next year, I did go through their Screening test list and he can do pretty much everything on that list, but I wasn't sure if that was enough, I read some of the reviews of that school and was surprised to know that the kids were reading before they started KG, My son can tell me the phonics of each letter in a word, but he still can't put them together to form a word... I wasn't sure if that was enough?
