Since you were not there when it was said, it's kind of hard to know the context of what was said. If it were one of my children, yes I would be upset, but I would go right away to the teacher and have a talk with my child and the teacher in the same room.

i think i would talk to a principal on this matter, its the teachers job to listen and to teach our kids when they are in school.when my kids are at home its my job to teach them but when they are at school thats their place.

I think the teacher said something in between what his or her students heard.

As a parents I would ask my child a lot questions and follow up questions to make sure she or he heard the teacher correctly.

It is very common these days to see many students who want parents or teachers to do house and school work for them. It is the responsibility of students to learn and work very hard when they are school. It is always clear, which student work hard in school and which student needs parents or teachers to do the work for them.

My suggestion, talk again with your child and some of his or her classmates and possible meet with the teacher to sort out things.

Best wishes!

Obviously this teacher is NOT suitable for her job. This is your child that being talked to this way. I would make an appointment with her and the principle and nip it in the bud immediately. YOU pay her salary with your tax dollars and your child is innocent and cannot take up your themself.
