How old is your child and what is his or her grade? Is your child in speical education?
I think social behavior is taught around other subjects in schools. Speak with your child's teacher and let her or him know about your concern. The counselor of your child's school will be the best person to speak with-and he or she will be able to address this issue. The counselor may arrange to speak with your child or children regularly or in some school district social worker does this job.
My son was not eating well when he was in PK and I told the teacher and she had many lessons why children need food and that solved the problem.
Best wishes!
