Moving to NashvilleTennessee

VNewman
Our family will be moving to TN, I have a Freshman in high school and a 3 year old. Our goal is to find a home in a rural area for the horses, but we want to be near good schools. However, we are not sure where to begin. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks!

If you are interested in public education, then start looking for a home in Williamson County. The public schools are the best in TN. The cities of Brentwood and Franklin have the best reputations.

I have received feedback that the school ratings on this website are farely accurate. I ended up looking up each city and the school ratings for K-12. I then eliminated any of the schools that were rated a 6 or below. Now I have started looking at the homes for sale in the cities that had the higher school ratings. I know it sounds like alot of work, but it helped.
We are planning a trip the beginning of next year to actually visit the different areas, then we will begin our house hunt.
Hope this helps!

I don't have an answer, but I am in the same boat as you. I have no idea where to begin. Have you found out anything about Elementary schools?

Yes, I do feel the ratings for the Davidson County System on this site are fairly accurate. Most of the parents I know that live in Davidson County are opting to either homeschool, send to private school or just move to another county. We are currently in a private school, but like I said we are trying to move to the Goodlettsville side of Sumner County so that we can benefit from the schools there.

Thank you for responding to my question. We are still researching the areas. Do you feel that the school ratings on this website are accurate to what your experience has been in your current county?
