dose the preschool have a interpreter there who speaks her language maybe if they dont they may be able to get one who also can help her with english.i think everyone should know a diffrent language it helps them with jobs and learning to commmuncate with other cultures.
Hello, my son second language is English, and we do not speak it at home at all. Because he was communicating in whole sentences in our language, I wanted him to be able to express his needs in English before he entered preschool. It worked fine. First we went to English playgroups where I was able to help him to communicate and there I also talked to him mostly in English.
Now that he is 4 he is able to express himself, not that good than others, but he is not afraid to talk to anybody. He speaks slowly and carefully and do not want to make mistakes, but he is getting better every day.
I believe what I did to my son was the right thing, at least for him was good.
At this age, kids learn languages very quickly. Preschool is probably the best place for her to learn, assuming that teachers are used to deal with kids who do not know English.
If you can, you may want to take her to a playground or a playgroup where other kids her age play before hand to familiarize her with English, if you are concerned, but, most likely, she will do very well.
I'm sure that you can find advice there on how to introduce English and maintain her current language as well.
