Finding the best preschool in the phoenix area

Hi my husband and I are looking to relocate to Arizona and I have no idea about the west coast, we live in south Carolina and I don't even know where to begin to find the right preschool for my 4 year old daughter and 3 year old son. Does anyone have a good recommendation for some in the phoenix area?

The scottsdale unified school district has their own preschools in most of their elementary schools and they are fantastic! And your child can get used to school where they will go to kindergarten. Check it out on the SUSD website under "community schools". www.susd.org

We moved here from Maryland in 2004. It seemed like the best schools were clustered around the northern end of Scottsdale and Phoenix. We have a 3 yr old at Pinnacle Presbyterian and he loves it. My wife went all round the area looking for schools, and interviewed at least 10, including the charter (Benchmark), Montessori, and private schools. We may send our oldest to Benchmark in 2 yrs but for PK Pinnacle seemed like the better choice. BTW, depending on your means, N. Scottsdale might be kind of expensive, try looking a couple miles west in N. Phoenix.
