Frist ask what is it`s intreset or hoppies that would be to his liking , I`m sure as the school get`s in the swing of things he/or she will be glade they are rn school and not on the streets.
ive always struggled with this. When i was in third grade my math was terrible. but then my parents forced me to go tutoring. i got really pissed. but now im in 8th grade and my math is above average. i still attend tutoring stuff but ive cut down. my parents motivate me with money. im a money person. So i guess you can pay your kid money for grade. i get paid 20-A 30-A+ 10-B and it goes on from there, but when its a C, i dont get anything, and when its like a F, then you can take back 20. its actually really helped me. just dont bug your kid too much, and make him finish his hw, before letting him go play, or tv, or anything like that.
I am a 7th grader at Clark Moores Middle school. When i was younger i had the same problem your child is having now. My parents rewarded me with a goal of some kind. at the beginning of a nine weeks we would set a percentage range for my grade to be in. If I reached the range I got a reward of some kind. I am happy to say my parents don't ave to use this method with me anymore and that i'm interested in school using my own will power and it feels good. So good luck, and let me know if my advice helps any!
Reward him BIG TIME time if and when he brings home good grades. This will motivate him, at least it did our daughter. My husband told her she could have anything she wanted if she brought home good grades (A's & B's). She surprised the heck out of us by bringing home straight A's, and she got her reward (Nintendo DS). We are doing the same again this year! Although this year we have had to restrict her reward to inanimate objects, because she has been wanting a dog. (We already have three cats!)
i need to know that answer also my daughter hates science and dosent turn in home work. her teacher said shes bright and could do it if she wanted to. i dont know what to do.
