new to the area and son is going into the tenth grade, the school we're zoned for is a bad school

we tried getting him into a private school but his grades weren't good enough and it's too late for him to be tested , what can i do

When you say it's too late for him to be tested, tested for what? If you suspect he's got learning disabilities, and that's contributing to his poor grades, it's never to late. If you mean tested to go to an out-of-district school, then I'm not sure whether they might take students mid-year if space is available? If you absolutely don't want your son to attend the zoned school, perhaps you could consider cyberschooling (on-line) or homeschooling.
