lizth9,
I hope you read my posting before, however if you didn't and you are still having this issue try contacting the ESE coordinator. Try to contact me in a private message and I will give you some more information.
Oh my goodness...the timeline for a response is usually 60 days (some districts use school days in session, some use calendar days) but a year is clearly in violation...I'm shocked you didn't go to the district sooner...If they don't respond in a matter of days (tell them you expect a response by a certain date,) then don't wait for a state complaint...

his therapist and pyhyciatrist tested him and they said that he does have problems with learning thats why we have requested one and we have done all the paper work that they need and they still ignore the iep meeting his therapist is going to file a complaint to the district regarding that school because he does need that iep he repeated 1st grade and hes going on third and i dont want an iep for him to be easier but he realy needs it he have barely passing grades and they still say that hes doing fine .its been 1 year and no responce
Thanks so much for your help. I had not started a paper trail until today. Thanks you once again. I also got someone on the phone today and she stated that they had sent copies home. Well the address they had was incorrect. So I went personally and correct the address. Then they said my son had signed, but i never rcvd anything. I've checked all my records and his not the kind that keeps paperwork. I also asked her how come I was not contacted via phone and she stated that, the school is suppose to contact me only via mail and my child. We all know that this isn't true. So I got no where. I requested a meeting IEP and and teachers conference. Since Forest Hills teachers don't all attend the open night events to meet the teachers. Honestly I've gotten more responses with my questions from this site than I have from edline.com
