My son has Asperger Syndrome and I started looking for a high school when he was in 6th grade. The school I finally settled on is Mid-Peninsula High School in Menlo Park. They specialize in small classroom size and all the teachers use modern teaching techniques. When I spoke to the “Head of the School” about my son’s learning style it was refreshing to hear him articulate what I had tried to explain to teachers and administrators about my son for years. My son is on an IEP and Mid-Pen has a wonderful Learning Specialist who looked at the IEP and design a learning plan for him.

Good luck to you! I know how difficult it is to find a school that will help your child develop into the unique individual he is.
