We are looking at relocating to Ft Sam houston and do not want to leave on post. We are house hunting and looking for the better high/Middle school.

ft sam neighbor hood is tuff. NEISD is best most epensive area of town, schools are pretty good too.
Welcome, and San Antonio is a great area to live, work and raise your children. I personally would stay away from the South Side of San Antonio, The best Schools you will find are going to be in The North Side School district, it is a well know district for its Great Schools. Stone Oak area (north of loop 1604) is exceptional. The best high schools in San Antonio are Alamo Heights, Reagan and Church hill. The best Middle schools in San Antonio is Bush Middle School, Frank Tejada and Alamo Heights Junior High. If you want to look for houses in these areas be ready to pay for them. they are not cheap and the property taxes here are a little bit over whelming but then again you do not pay state taxes.
