You would have to move, unless you taught school in one of the desoto county schools, which gives you and your child that choice. ? Just a thought. I worked for Hernando Middle School when I tried school-based therapy position, which is a great program that only a few of the school in desoto co have. It helps the teachers recognize possible depression symptoms, how to manage behavioral challenges, and offers crisis management for anything from a crying teen to a sexually acting out or suicidal child. Each school in the district has its specialty, as well, so allowing your child to grow in a private pre-K before making a decision might also be beneficial.

I think the best thing for you to do is contact both district offices and find out what their transfer policies are. My concern is that because the school is in a different state it might not be possible. But call and find out!
