Basis Scottsdale (Charter School)

My kids went to Liberty, Sunrise, and Horizon. Pulled the small on from Liberty to Basis, even with the Honors Program at Liberty it wasn't enough. At Basis, there is actual studying involved as well as putting forth effort. She loved it, and will be very prepared for college life when all is said and done.

The Paradise Valley school district is considered one of the best.

Benchmark Charter school is outstanding for an elementary school. I've also heard excellent things about Sonoran Sky.

Pinnacle High School was on Newsweek's list of top high schools in the nation, and Chaparral High School in Scottsdale is known for having the most kids accepted to Ivy League schools.

I'd check the Chandler area. I moved to the city of Phoenix several years ago without doing any sort of research first and if I knew then what I know now, I would have moved to Chandler for my kids. I have some friends who live there and they all say Chandler has the best schools in the area.

Summit School of Ahwatukee (www.summitschoolaz.org) is the best school in the area. Summit School has exceptional teachers that coach, guide, lead and inspire. Summit provides the foundation for understanding concepts and their practical applications.

Madison schools have a great reputation in Phoenix, but by Phoenix do you mean the "valley" or just the city of Phoenix? There are some good schools in the Dear Vally area and Peoria has good arts and music programs. Sonoran Sky is a Paradise Valley school district but it's located in Scottsdale and is excellent. I've also heard Zuni and Hopi in Scottsdale are good. You also don't indicate grade level or whether you are just interested in public schools. Sunnyslope high school is good, even if the neighborhood is a bit dicey.
