this question is for houston tx. Why is it that students who have grades of 'As" and "Bs" can never get chosen

For the last three years my son had applied to two specific programs and had been denied reasons such too many applicates, not enough slots available. Does this calibar of student need to be continually ignored. I notice competition is getiing severe but does the non straight "A" student deserve a chance?

In Houston, there is a lot of competition in grades, there are a lot of kids that have very good grades, from straight A's, my daughter is one of them,she gets really upset if she gets a B in any of her classes. There are too many applicates for the same thing, which might get it dificult for your son to get chosen, but keep insisting, you might finally get it, good luck.
