? Schools in Boca Raton area??

jaracic
My husband just recieved a job offer in Boca Raton. We have a 3rd grader who has excelled in Ohio public schools, and is in the gifted program. We are nervous about Fl public schools and do not believe we can afford private school. Any advice about schools in Boca Raton/ Ft Lauderdale/ Pompano Beach area would be really helpful!

I hear that Waters Edge is a great gifted school in Boca Raton. You can review this school at greatschools.net. I know people who have children going there and are very happy with it. Hope this helps.

both of my kids are in gifted. we started at Sandpiper Shores elementary school and after Verde Middle. They have great gifted programs and teachers. You should also check out www.palmbeach.k12.fl.us/choiceprograms/. This palm beach county school district website offers magnet school list and all info that you need. check it out.

Not sure if you've seen this or not, but the GreatSchools City Page for the Boca Raton area might be a good place to start:

www.greatschools.net/cities.page?all=1&city=Boca+Raton&includeState=1&order=alpha&state=FL

On this page, you can see how the schools in cities in the area measure up, and you can dig deeper to view test score info, Parent Reviews and school environment info for individual schools.

Hope this helps!
