They start July 27, 2009. One week from today.
My son is in elementary and we moved here this past September. I was surprised that they started in July but am now very happy! I believe this year they start the last week in July. They are on year-round schedule which makes it nice since the traditional schools are only off during the VERY HOT summer months (Jun, July, Aug).. we are very happy that we chose Chandler Unified. So far we are very happy with the district.

Great Schools is a nationwide community of parents, so I'm not not sure if you're refering to Chandler, AZ or not. Their district website is located at ww2.chandler.k12.az.us/ and perhaps you can contact the district to find out their calendar (it wasn't readily apparent from the website).
