Yes, I know that Hartland, MI has full day kindergarten. I'm avoiding it, but I can see that parents who work full time it would be better. I heard that by a certain year in the future all schools will receive reduced funding for offering less than full days, and this will drive most schools to offer only full days.
Hi monicaSehgal,

You can click on the link "resaerch and compare" and get a good idea (atleast soem basic data) about the school. Or follow the link below:
www.greatschools.net/search/search.page?state=MI&q=Lakeview+elementary&type=school. Hope this helps.

I know Lakeview has a half day and full day class, my child is in full day. Good luck on the move
Hello Monica,

It depends where you are relocating in MI. I am relocating to PA/DE from MI and the palce where I stay has a full day Kindergarten program. Also the cut-off date for admission is Dec 1.
Good luck with your move.

I'm not from MI, but I haven't heard of any states that have rules "against" full-day kindergarten. Many parents now prefer it, especially when they work and want to minimize the time their children spend in child care.
Have you tried using the "Research and Compare" feature on the green menu bar near the top of this page, where you can enter the town you're thinking of moving to, and the grade level, then see what school names appear. Give the ones you're interested in a call and ask.
