Any good elementary & middle schools that are close together in Charlotte, NC?

I am relocating from Nebraska to Charlotte, NC. I have a 6 & 11 yr old. My oldest is type 1 diabetic and I would like to get her & my youngest in a good school system that are kinda close to one another if possible. Im not sure where we are going to live, more likely South Charlotte.
