Hello again,
As you already know, my name is Linda, I contacted my realtor in Louisville, unfortunately,Northen KY is not her specialty. She asked me to ask you for your first name, so if you decide to call her, she will know who you are, that I recommended her to you for help. She also told me, she would be very happy to give you names of her contact real estate agents specializing in N. KY. (rental's whatever you need) I will give you her telephone number, her name is Ashley, she is FANTASTIC, a true expert in the real estate field, schools systems, neighborhoods, her telephone # is (502) 376-0969. I hope this helps you. Have an Awesome Weekend! If you would, please let me know if any of this helps you,as you helped me out more than you know. She told me, she will be looking forward to a phone call from you, if you would email me your first name, I will email it to her, this way she will know who you are and will speak to you directly, helping you find whatever it is you desire. She is very well informed, friendly, helpful. I hope this helps you out. Please feel free to email me anytime, if you would like to give me your email address, that would be great. I am very happy to have had the opportunity to speak and meet you through "Great Schools." For some reason, I really didn't mean to send you my original message, I was new to the community, trying to post a question, yet somehow, my message was posted to your question, as an answer. I appologize for that, yet am happy to have met you through this site. Please let me know if any of this helps, feel free to email me at my email address. lpeset@comcast.net Thanks! Linda :~)

Hello,

I thank you soooo much for your information regarding Kentucky. I am definately going to look into the apt. complex you recommend, as we are looking for a wonderful, beautiful place, with wonderful people. So far, the people I have spoken to from your gorgeous state are super fantastic! You are such a great help to us. I cannot thank you enough. I really wish I could help you, if you were moving to NJ., I could. LOL! (you really don't want to move here.) My daughter is starting 9th grade in June. Again, we are quite nervous, anxious, all different emotions, now speaking and getting to know the lovely people from Kentucky, it seems as though we are making the right choice. Again, I cannot thank you enough for all your advice. If ever you need anything, please feel free to write to me. It has been a pleasure reading your emails, yes, we prefer a wonderful place, the price of rental really cannot compare to anything in NJ. Average rental for a 3 bdrm apt. approx. 1,000 sq feet, is about 2800.00 a month, so for us, the rentals in Louisville are a GREAT DEAL.. Large, new, nothing at all like the horribly expensive small rentals here in NJ. Yes, we already sold our home, and are looking to move to a GREAT PLACE. Thanks to you and some other wonderfully friendly people from KY., we are becoming quite confident we are making the right choice for our 3 children. I have 2 son's also, 1 in college, 1 graduating High School here in NJ. If you only knew how much your replies mean to me. Thank you! Bless you and yours.

By the way, my name is Linda. Maybe someday, we may meet.

Hello:
When we move here to Kentucky we also rented. My main concerned was also the schools. I called ahead and spoke with a great lady from the Jefferson board of education and she told me the best public schools in the area.
Norton elementary, Kammerer middle school, and Ballard high school , all three belong to the same district. There is also a great public High school call Dupont manual but it is impossible to get into.(I am not sure what grade is your daughter going into.) Any way both my daughters went to this district but i still did not like the schools. ( students come from different socio-economic backgrounds not in North Oldham ). If you decide to go to these public schools in Jefferson Co.district I mentioned before there is a great place to rent that will belong to these schools.(we rented there) it is call Summit Place. It is in a good area, good neighborhood , close to the Summit mall, supermarket , restaurants, etc. It is a little expensive but i think it is worth it. Their phone number is 888-721-7154 you can also check them in their web site. (i would ask them before renting about the schools belonging to their area just in case, i rented there 4 years ago) There is also excellent private schools in Louisville if you later decide to do that.. ( i do not like the south part of Louisville unless your children go to private)I know all the Oldham County Public Schools because I've always been very involved in my daughters education. From these Oldham Co. public schools North and South are both good but the difference is the socio-economic standards. North is a little higher than South.
We bought the house in Goshen because of the schools. Well I hope this helps you.
if you need more information I will be glad to help you. thank you for asking your Realtor to help me. I really appreciate it
Good luck, Louisville is a Great place to live...

Thank you for responding to my question. My daughter's education is our main concern. We are upscale, live in NJ, and do not want to move somewhere that is undesirable. I guess I will begin a new search. I appreciate your reply so much.
why are these schools no good? In your opinion, as on this website, I looked at some schools that may be an option, and they seem better than the school my daughter currently attends here in NJ. Very Bad school system. One reason we are finally leaving this state. Well, there are many. We are able to afford private school, yet I prefer public, as my older children did attend private school in their elementary years, everything about the private school compared to the public was awful. We took them out, put them into the public school system. Still not so great, better than the private school, for sure. Though, this is in New Jersey. I am currently working with a realtor in KY, I can find out some information for you on Northern Kentucky. She is very helpful. Although, we plan on renting to see if we like it, before comitting to purchasing a home. Thanks again for the warning. Let me know, I will ask my agent about The Edgewood Area of KY for you. No problem at all. Or if you prefer, I can give you her email, it is ashley@weselllouisville.com, she is great, very informative, has lived in Kentucky her entire life, and yes, she did recommend the area you are telling me about for us to move to. If she cannot help you, surely she knows someone that would be able to.

Thanks again, have a great nite!

It depends what you want. Public schools in all Jefferson's county (all Louisville)are not that good for several reasons. That is why there are a lot of private schools in louisville.
The North Oldham county schools are very good actually excellent schools and it is a very short drive to louisville. We live in Goshen . Schools r safe in all aspects including the high school. The community is excellent. Income: High to High middle.. I have a daughter that goes to north Oldham Middle School in Goshen ky ..check their web site you will see our scores in testing .We r a school to watch.. you can compare with the ones in Louisville and you will see the difference. The elementary schools are incredible and you will not have any problems. Also houses are beautiful here. Areas like prospect and Goshen ky. Right now depending on your budget there is even houses to rent.
Well good luck and if there is anyhting else i can help you let me know ..I need help with Norhtern ky the Edgewood area if you know of anybody
Good luck
Thanks

We are moving to Louisville in June, zip code is 40219, I was wondering which high school my daughter would be attending. Can anybody help me? My child's education is very important to me, I am hoping the High School in this district is great, small class sizes, We are supposed to move to Cooper Creek Village, does anybody know what high school the child attends and if this is really a great area as it seems to be? If not, we will find a different area to move to. Before we make any final commitment to this community. Thank you so for any help anybody can give me.
