Education is valued a lot in the Boston area!!! There are good schools in the urban school districts (like Cambridge and Boston) and there are good schools in the suburban school districts. i don't I could pick out one community in the Boston area over another because each community has their own pluses and minuses.

So much depends on what sort of experience you want for your child. Do you want a town feeling? Do you mind if you have to drive your child everywhere or do you want access to public transport? Do you want a mixed income setting? Do you want a setting where kids are very privileged but also where kids have parents who are highly educated? Will your child need special education services? How expensive a house can you afford? What sort of commute does your husband want?

My recommendation is to find a really good real estate or relocation specialist who can help you sort through the area and find the community that would be the best fit for you.

Hi there,
You could start with our Boston city page and move out from there.
