When I moved to Denver, I used GreatSchools to find a good area of the city to live. You will notice that all the schools out in Arvada have very low scores. There are good schools in the Littleton area, a few places in Golden, and up in Westminster, Boulder, etc. Now that I live here, I have found those scores to be EXCELLENT indicators of the kind of environment the kids will be in. We decided to move to Genesee, where Ralston Elementary is a 10/10 school. We are so happy we did. We tried putting our kids in a Denver school (Sandoval, with 4/10 rating), because they had a bilingual program, but pulled them out in 1.5 months for various reasons, not least of which was gang influence--in an elementary!
I was just reviewing the community web page at Great Schools and saw your posting from April. I am alittle late. Were you able to find assistance and answers to your posting regarding a good middle school in Denver?
