Gifted programs in north Chicago suburbs?

Anonymous
I'm looking for good elementary school options for a gifted or advanced preschooler. Our current district doesn't provide much until high school and the private school is so expensive. We want to stay in the north shore or even go a little further north, as my husband works in Kenosha. thanks!

Hi. I'm in the Chicago area, but NW suburbs...I do know that "The Center for Gifted" operates out of National Lewis University in the Evanston/Wilmette area. While it isn't an "elementary school," it does offer weekend and summer enrichment programs for younger students, and I'd bet that if you call them, they could tell you which north shore communities have reputations for offering better gifted elementary school programs.
