I am looking for a public school in SF with good Speech therapy specialist.

Hello. My son will need speech therapy and I understand that not all the pubblic schools in SF have the same services. If anyone is currently using a speech therapist in any of the SFUSD, can you let me know of your experience?

If you are looking at elementary, check out the great Dr. Bennat (sic) at Grattan Elementary.

I have not used the services, but my son graduated and I worked in Buena Vista Elementary (two way Spanish immersion) they had a great ST named Angie, she was bilingually great!!
Call SFUSD and ask for referrals, and go visit them. Make I contact and look at the school, maybe you'll find the right combo. GOOD LUCK!

I understand that CA has a shortage of qualified speech teachers, so I can appreciate how difficult your situation is. Greatschools has a "Learning and Attention Group" you can join at community.greatschools.net/groups/11554 where many more parents of special needs kids can be found, and hopefully answer your question.
