We live in Puerto Rico and are moving to Jacksonville, (Chet;s Creek ES). Of course I have moving anxiety. Mi kid is metally disabled. Is this a good school?
We moving to Jacksonville. Any tips?

Chet's Creeks is a relatively new, A-rated school with a great, brick building, but, like your other poster, I can't speak to what's more important: its ability to deliver a quality education to your handicapped child. You may want to call ARC (old name: Association for Retarded Citizens....you can see why it changed its name) in Jax and ask for information and suggestions.
Unfortunately, most of the ratings that you'll see on this site or most others, for any school, will not be specific to programs for children with special needs. If I were you, I'd try to contact the school directly, and get the name of the PTA president or other representative, so that you might ask them if they could then provide you with the names of any other parents with special needs children in the school, at your child's grade level.
Another option might be to contact a local support group in the Jacksonville area, for whatever disability your child has (ie, Down's Syndrome, or autism, etc.) and ask them for information about specific schools and programs.
