What state is this school located in? Greatschools is a nationwide community across the U.S., and the chance of finding another parent on here who is familiar with the same school and can answer your specific question is unlikely. Did you look at Greatschools rating page?
Jenny63. Animo Inglewood is a Green Dot charter school. Its website can be found at www.greendot.org/inglewood. You've no doubt heard about Green Dot's founder Steve Barr and his desire to create small, safe schools in the Los Angeles area. You can find out more about their school by visiting their website. As a charter school, it operates outside the jurisdiction of regular school districts and can require different things of its students. Enrollment is open to any student in California, but there is an application that must be completed by sometime in March. The API for 2007 was 687--not great, but not as bad as many high schools in LA. Keep in mind with magnets and charters, you're going to get quite a bit more parental interest and involvement which tends to improve test scores. If you have concerns about the safety of a school, visit the campus. With the application deadline approaching, they will no doubt host tours to show the campus to prospective families. Talk to the families that help host these tours, and ask to talk to other parents as well. Remember, no school is perfect, you just have to look around and find one that meets the most of your child's needs as compared to others.
