In My Own Words

I am a military mom of three children. We are a bilingual family and we speak both English and Spanish at home. My daughter and older son are both part of the gifted and talented program at their school, and my youngest son is part of the ELL program. We have many different learning types in our home and many different personalities. We are also involved in our church and sports activities after school. Balancing all of this can be challenging! I am a Spanish teacher and I love children! Moving around with the Coast Guard means that we constantly assessing the educational needs of our children, and we are often required to look for new environments to support their learning.

Parents I'd Like to Meet

I would love to talk to any parents of adoptees or second language learners. I would also enjoy hearing from parents of gifted and talented children. Above and beyond this, christian military moms would be a great resource for me, and I would love to share our thoughts.
