Parents I'd Like to Meet

Our family is interested in meeting other liberal families, we are interested in Teaching Tolerance, political activities, we follow Nichiren Daishonin's buddhist beliefs of non-violence, but religous diferences are not important to us, kindness and generosity of spirit are. It would be so nice to establish play groups or outings with other two, three or four year olds, we feel very isolated here, have only lived here since our twins were born, Mom and Dad both work, juggle our days around taking care of our kids (Mom works hot line in evenings, Dad in Alexandria during the day) so you can imagine that without any outside help (friends) it gets hectic. We are also in great need of any one's advise on pr-school. We would like to begin as soon as possible. Are there fine, affordable pre-schools out there, somewhere between or around Laplata to the Accokeek region would be wonderful. Thanks for anyone's help.
